BIOGRAPHY

Ber Lazarus lives and works in Montreal. His sculptures and installations have been shown in solo and group shows in Canada, the United States and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University and is a professional member of the Association of Visual Artists of Quebec. He uses a variety of forms, materials and scales to bring a unique sensibility and originality to his art practice which often gives new life to old things in the belief that art itself is regenerative. It is one way in which culture, in its diversity, re-invents itself.

Recent work includes Bulls-eye Flag, SpyraGyra, Her Spinning Heart Stopped Cold in the Early Morn and PodMotion. His on-going series of book works, Ex-Libris, explore the boundary between text and visual vocabulary. Curriculum vitae.pdf
